Mon Voisine Cuisine, the “kitchen Uber,” is a new Web-based service with an original idea: order home-cooked food from menus offered by one of your neighbors on the site, pay online and pop over to the cook’s place to pick it up. Sounds like an iffy business, but the “talents” (cooks) have been prescreened and signed a quality charter, and are graded by users as on other online service sites. To give one example, Roxane Tran-Van offers both French and Vietnamese dishes. So far, North and South American, African, Italian and Indian dishes are also available.
