The Galerie Berès is attracting a great deal of attention with its show of works by little-known artist Serge Férat (1881-1958). Although he dabbled in a colorful version of Cubism, he also worked in a number of other styles, including Nabi and Fauve. Born Serguei Nikolaievitch Jastrebsov to a rich aristocratic Russian family, he moved to Paris in 1901 and was an early collector of Rousseau, Picasso and Braque.
