C’est Magnifique !

Without wishing to minimize the very real plight of those immigrants to France who are denied papers and (all too often) living quarters, I did note a wonderful side to the French approach recently while passing a group of homeless people who are living in tents near Paris’s Bourse (the former stock exchange). A soup kitchen had been set up, and they were all being served a sumptuous meal of chicken and couscous, complete with elaborate. delicious-smelling sauces. In France people might be denied their rights but not a good, well-cooked meal!
