Pariss Grand Palais will be turned into a palace of fun for the Jours de Fêtes holiday event, complete with a Ferris wheel, a merry-go-round dating from 1900 and other amusement park rides, plus a children’s play area with six special games. The beautiful glass dome will be illuminated by lighting expert François Austerlitz, and jazz manouche (“Gypsy” jazz) concerts will be held every evening from 8:30 to 10:30 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Django Reinhardt. There will also be an exhibition of pieces from the Musée des Arts Forains (Amusement Park Museum), and a children’s area with six games. Dec. 18-Jan. 1, 11am-midnight (last entry at 11pm). Admission: €5 (€3 for children under 10). Rides: €2-€4.
