French film triumphs in London
Director Jacques Audiard’s film Un Prophète, reviewed recently in Paris Update, has won the award for best film at the London Film Festival by a jury made up of Angelica Huston (chair), John Akomfrah, Jarvis Cocker, Mathieu Kassovitz, Charlotte Rampling and Iain Softley, “in recognition of original, intelligent and distinctive filmmaking.”
