> Femmes Filmmakers Fortnight, a festival featuring women directors, presents films by Catherine Corsini, Mia Hansen Love, Eva Huston and more. Cinema le Nouvel Odeon, Paris, through Oct. 11.

Clowning around
> Le Samovar, a school for clowns, sponsors a festival of “clowns, burlesques and eccentrics.” Various locations, Paris suburbs, through Oct. 9.

Open studios
> ParisArtistes presents a group exhibition with a work by each of the artists who will open their studios to the public on the weekend. Bastille Design Center, Paris, Oct. 7-9.

Oktoberfest in Paris

Jazz galore
> Paris’s leading jazz clubs cooperate for the festival Jazz sur Seine, with special prices for concerts, showcases and master classes. Various locations, Paris, Oct. 7-22.

Montmartre grape harvest
> Montmartre goes all out to celebrate the Fête des Vendanges de Montmartre with a parade, exhibitions, workshops, concerts, special menus in restaurants, wine tastings, a ball and more. Various locations, Paris, through Oct. 9.

Strange Happenings in St. Germain
> The exhibition Bizarro, with works by a number of artists, fills seven Left Bank galleries with “Bêtes de Scènes et Sacrés Monstres.” Don’t miss the Meta-perceptual Helmets by the Irish duo Cleary/Connolly
