Arghaël, a special effects artist and film editor and director who has taken up drawing in recent years, is a budding artist to watch. His drawings focus on the human nude, but there is nothing sexy about his twisted, tortured and distorted bodies floating in white space. These powerful drawings, which bring Francis Bacon to mind without imitating him, are on show at the Loo & Lou Gallery (20, rue Notre-Dame-de-Nazareth, 75003 Paris) through April 2.
