La Cerise sur le Gâteau
On the hunt for just the right little straw hat for what promises to be a hot Parisian summer, I came upon a charming boutique just behind Eglise Saint Sulpice on the Left Bank. La Cerise sur le Chapeau (Cherry on the Hat), the brainchild of a young Parisienne called Cerise, is an atelier-boutique specializing in handmade hats for men and women. Cerise revisits the hats our grandparents once wore in a wide spectrum of colors, bringing back the casually elegant styles of Bogart, Bonnie and Clyde and even the Rat Pack with the custom addition of a simple modern touch.
