The City of Paris has launched a new app (for iPhone and Android) and Web site called DansMaRue to enable Paris residents to report problems in the street, such as graffiti, piles of trash, etc. The report is then transferred to the appropriate municipal department to be corrected. You can even ask to be informed by e-mail when the job has been done.
Another Web site of interest, especially for cash-poor Parisians (aren’t we all?) is L’Accorderie, an online service exchange. You could get someone to fix your computer, for example, in exchange for painting a room or translating a document.
